The Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) was last month in Las Vegas, and we’re still buzzing with excitement! One of the biggest trends we spotted at the show was an increase of purpose-driven features, created specifically to make life at home easier.

Whirlpool Corporation’s booth was a celebration of real life at home which isn’t always picture-perfect – it can be messy, sticky, and super busy. Attendees were able to explore products across Whirlpool Corporation’s family of brands – Whirlpool®, Maytag®, KitchenAid®, JennAir®, and Gladiator® – and the unique products from each that solve real challenges at home and streamline everyday tasks.

Game-Changing Innovation

Whirlpool Corporation's revolutionary SlimTech™ insulation technology was showcased in a JennAir® luxury 30 in. Column Panel-Ready Refrigerator, and was an absolute showstopper. It won a Best of KBIS Gold award in the Game-Changing Innovation category. It's the first vacuum-insulated structure (VIS) technology in a refrigerator in the North American market and can reduce wall thickness by up to 66%, allowing for up to 25% more capacity inside the refrigerator.

New Products

The new KitchenAid® 30-inch 4-Element Induction Slide-In Convection Range with Air Fry offers users the power to cook the way they want with more cooking methods in one, including popular air fry capabilities. The sensor-induction cooktop generates heat directly within cookware, and the oven features Even-Heat™ True Convection plus air fry mode, with an included dishwasher-safe air fry basket that helps with in crisping and browning.

Also new at the show was the KitchenAid® Multifunction Over-the-Range Microwave Oven with Infrared Sensor Modes. It combines the features of an air fryer, toaster oven, convection oven, dehydrator, bread proofer, microwave, and ventilation hood – all into one space-saving appliance. It’s designed for seamless flush installation within a standard 12 ¾" cutout, so the kitchen stands out, not the appliance. Plus, infrared sensors monitor cooking progress and automatically adjust cook time and temperature as needed to help prevent splatters.

The new KitchenAid® 30" Gas-on-Glass Cooktop is both easy to clean and the most powerful cooktop in its class. With 56.2K total BTU, including a central 18K BTU burner, it helps execute high-heat techniques, like stir-frying and searing. The glass top and dishwasher-safe elements, like professionally-inspired stainless steel knobs and continuous cast-iron grates, make cleaning up almost as easy as cooking.

The Maytag® Pet Pro System was designed specifically with pet parents in mind. The washer has the industry’s first pet hair filter to remove up to 5X* more pet hair from clothes. In the dryer, the Pet Pro option lifts and traps loads of pet hair with an XL lint trap.

When it comes to the garage, the Gladiator® Flex Cabinet System is an all-in-one, versatile storage solution. This system transforms the garage with five high-quality, versatile garage storage systems. Tough features like welded steel construction and fully adjustable shelves meet modern design with recessed handles, soft-close doors, and auto-return drawers to create a complete garage cabinet system.

Best of Show

The KitchenAid® Counter Depth 4 Door Refrigerator with Exterior Water and Ice Dispenser turned heads at KBIS and was honored with a Best of KBIS award. Its modern configuration helps keep ingredients fresh and accessible, with the premium sliding storage trays in the refrigerator and freezer. The side-by-side freezer offers the same visibility as above, so even frozen items can stay fresh and top-of-mind. The Custom Freeze Zone allows cooks to select the right temperature for their ingredients: 0°F, 10°F or 19°F.

The new Whirlpool® 30-inch Electric Range with Air Fry won a Best of KBIS award for how it streamlines cleanup with its WipeClean™ coating. Exclusive to Whirlpool Corporation, this feature makes tackling tough messes a breeze and requires just water, not harsh cleaners. Simply wet, wait a few minutes, then easily wipe away.
